英打:

The CNS depends on an adequate and uninterrupted supply of blood and oxygen. The heart pumps oxygenated blood to the CNS through two arterial systems, vertebro-basilar and the carotid. Both of these arterial systems ascend and join the arterial circle of Willis at the base of the brain. Three cortical branches and numerous penetrating subcortical branches arise from the circle of Willis and supply blood to the brain. After perfusion, the deoxygenated blood is collected by veins and drained into the sinus system responsible for transmitting the collected blood and cerebrospinal fluid back to the heart for reprocessing.
